DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Aberdeen Treetops

161 Springfield Rd, Aberdeen AB15 7AQ, UK – 01224 313377

Awesome hotel! Everything was first class, nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff, always greeted with a smile whatever the time of day. Leston on reception deserves a special mention. He gave us so much info, he was really polite and seems genuinely happy in his job. Restaurant food was just perfect in every way. Best meal I’ve had in many years. Pool/gym/sauna etc facilities very good as well. Highly recommend, this place. Excellent value

Stayed here many times. Refurbishment has worked wonders for this place as was becoming rundown. Breakfast on a Sunday is chaotic. Nothing replenished. Waited 15 minutes for scrambled egg to be refilled as the 1 chef we saw went to do a gluten free toast for someone!!!! Don't mind the other 20 of us waiting. Very strange. However the 1 thing that really annoyed was the lack of haggis! Only black pudding. This was rectified on the Monday though.

Palm Court Hotel

81 Seafield Rd, Aberdeen AB15 7YX, UK – 01224 310351

Really nice and friendly staff. Always had a smile on their faces and willing to help. Nice rooms, nothing exceptional but clean and spacious. Nice touch was a fan in the room, which was much needed in the heat we've had. Would highly recommend

This hotel is excellent mainly because they do the little things well. My room was always clean and staff were always cleaning the common areas such as bar and hallways. Speaking of staff they were all friendly. Linda in reception was the first person I encountered and everyone was as nice as her. The food in the restaurant was excellent, my favorite was Scottish seafood linguini. The hotel is not near town but there is nice areas to walk around. I would recommend this place definitely.

Norwood Hall Hotel

Garthdee Rd, Aberdeen AB15 9FX, UK – 01224 868951

Nice staff, beautiful gardens. Very ornate interior design. Great bar and dining. We were there July 2018. Unusally dry and warm weather. No air conditioning so room was a might uncomfortable till about 8 or 9:00pm.

In from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Decided to stay at this hotel as it looked like a cool historical building. When we got there we were greeted by outstanding staff and a glass of complementary Sherry. "Nikki" gave us a tour and then we went into the bar area and ordered a light supper. Into our rooms which were large and settled in for the night. The place is an 1800's building with a lot of history that they will tell you when you about when you get here. Great place to stay!

The Ghillies Lair Harvester

Great Southern Rd, Bridge of Dee, Aberdeen AB12 5XA, UK – 01224 249924

Came here for dinner on a Saturday night. First time in this franchise. Really big restaurant, lovely staff and good ambience. Views from the window are beautiful: straight into the river. The free unlimited salad is always a plus: add crunchy bits and seeds, and don't forget the mustard&honey dressing if you fancy it. "Lunch meals" are served all day. I recommend the feel good bowl, I really enjoyed it. I will definitely keep an eye out for this franchise, hope they are as good as this one!

Came for lunch today. Food and service excellent. Steak and chicken cooked very well. Only gripe I have is paying 7.96 for two double expresso's.

Toby Carvery Cocket Hat

N Anderson Dr, Aberdeen AB15 6DW, UK – 01224 695684

Good quality carvery on Sunday for lunch. Restaurant was very busy but all seemed smooth in my opinion. Carvery meat was very good, tasty and hot. My waitress tekila was a lovely bubbly girl full of personality. Vegetables on carvery was a great selection and served hot. Good selection of deserts, I opted for a cheesecake , surprisingly light and good. Good value at under £10 per carvery.

Had a brilliant experience on Sunday. Meals were all served hot and very tasty. My daughter had a pasta dish as doesn’t like a carvery but waitress lady still got her a Yorkshire pudding which was a nice thought and she was delighted. Good meat choice also , no room left for pudding but they looked good. Staff all friendly , restaurant clean, toilets let this place down though. Will visit again when in Aberdeen

No. 1 Bar & Grill

1 Queen's Terrace, Aberdeen AB10 1XL, UK – 01224 611909

Dog friendly, lovely atmosphere, and table service from the staff. A bar, and restaurant - the bar area is where you are free to take your trusty dog in with you, and the staff will place a bowl of water down for your pooch. There is also a table service even in the bar area. The restaurant spans the space behind the bar and is very welcoming and has lovely decor. The food is also fantastic, and there is a great selection to choose from. Highly recommended.

The Chocolate brownie and peanut ice cream may just be the most perfect dessert I have ever ate. It is divine. For the main I had lamb chump which was also cooked perfectly. Good recommendation of wine from the waiter too. Overall a very pleasant experience

Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!

We have stayed several times at Cults Court and always enjoyed our stay. Jim and Joy are so helpful with regard to arranging booking, with always prompt responses. The accommodation is ideal for a family, even with a cupboard of toys and games for any children staying to keep them amused for hours. Location is excellent only a 15 minute drive into Aberdeen City Centre with easy accessibility to public transport, a 5 minute walk to local shops and a nearby play park. The house has excellent facilities with washing machine, tumble dryer, dish washer and wifi. I would highly recommend this accommodation to make your stay a home from home.

Kildonan Guest House

410 Great Western Rd, Aberdeen AB10 6NR, UK – 01224 316115

Very warm hearted hosts. The nicest we have had in years living in UK. Beautiful and spacious room even for a family of three adults. Fine breakfast with fresh strawberries, raspberries and other fruits, besides Full Scottish Breakfast, different kinds of eggs dishes, corn flakes, juices, bread, jam, marmalade, etc. Parking place for guests at the rear of the house. Double glazed windows in a street with almost no traffic. We will come back!

This b and b was lovely and the owner was extremely nice and helpful. In a lovely area with beautiful rooms with great facilities.

Aurora Guest House

429 Great Western Rd, Aberdeen AB10 6NJ, UK – 01224 311602

We spent one night here. We received a warm welcome from our hosts and plenty of recommendations for things to see and eat in Aberdeen. The room was comfortable and clean and had a nice view of the row houses in the city. Breakfast was wonderful. The owner is a chef who had several specials you could order beyond a traditional Scottish breakfast. We also enjoyed seeing that all the food was locally sourced and we could see where it came from. If you have a car, parking is in the alley behind the house.

Lovely place. Great staff, nice area, good deco. Rooms are about the size you'd expect in city centre. Great for a weekend away.

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
